As per the Meteorological Department, these districts may also experience hailstorms and thunderstorms. The skies are expected to clear up from Monday onwards, leading to an increase in both minimum and maximum temperatures due to sunshine.
Meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh mentioned that rain could begin in Lucknow and nearby districts early in the morning. Strong winds are also expected to accompany the rainfall.

Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Lucknow, Barabanki, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkarnagar, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, etc.
Rain causing issues for farmers
The rainfall that began late Friday night in these UP cities continued intermittently on Saturday. This rain has posed challenges for farmers, with early sown wheat crops being affected by the rain and storms.
Farmers who had started harvesting potatoes also faced difficulties due to waterlogging from the rain. Agricultural expert Dr. Satyendra Kumar Singh from Chandrabhanu Gupta Agricultural Post Graduate College, Bakshi Ka Talab, mentioned that crops like gram, lentils, and pigeon peas will be impacted as they require higher temperatures at this time.
The impact of the rain will also be felt on crops such as tomatoes, eggplants, bell peppers, beans, cabbage, cucumbers, watermelons, muskmelons, and cauliflower. Farmer Ram Asare from Malihabad stated that the wheat crop has suffered damage. If sunlight does not return within the next day or two, the crop will be ruined. Fields in low-lying areas are currently flooded.
