In north Delhi’s Civil Lines area, a cash collection agent on a scooty was robbed of Rs 50 lakh by two men on another scooty. The incident occurred near Monestary Market at 9.30 pm on Friday. The agent, named Rajesh, had collected the cash from Maharana Pratap Bagh and Chandani Chowk. As he approached the market, two individuals on a scooty intercepted him and snatched the bag of money that he had placed near his feet on the scooty. The Civil Lines police station has registered a case of robbery and formed teams to apprehend the culprits. Rajesh works as a cash agent for a plastic pellet businessman based in Netaji Subhash Place. The police suspect that the robber was someone familiar with Rajesh and aware of the cash.
