Accident in Lucknow: The fleet of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met with an accident in Lucknow. On the way back from the airport, an incident occurred while trying to avoid a dog. Five policemen and six civilians sustained injuries in the accident, including children. JCP Upendra Kumar Aggarwal provided details of the car accident, stating that it occurred near Mari Mata Temple in Arjunganj. District police vehicles were moving ahead for security when a dog came in the path of the demo car.
Joint CP Law and Order Upendra Kumar Aggarwal explained, “District police vehicles, including interceptor and anti-demo vehicles, accompany Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s fleet for security. Upon questioning locals, it was revealed that a dog had entered the road. The interceptor vehicle passed it safely, but the anti-demo vehicle behind it lost balance and collided with another vehicle, resulting in injuries to 5 policemen and 6 civilians. They have been hospitalized for treatment. Fortunately, there were no fatalities in the incident.”
Accident Involving Chief Minister’s Fleet
The driver swerved to avoid the dog, causing the demo car to collide with parked vehicles nearby. Around 11 individuals were injured in the accident and have been admitted to various hospitals. 5 of the injured are receiving treatment at Lohia Hospital, while the remaining 6 are at KGMU Hospital. It was mentioned that the Chief Minister’s fleet was involved, but it played no role in the accident. District police and anti-demo vehicles precede the fleet for security purposes.
11 Injured Admitted for Treatment
All the injured have been transferred for better medical care. The incident caused concern within the administration, prompting Principal Secretary Home Sanjay Prasad to visit the hospital to check on the injured. Joint Police Commissioner Upendra Kumar Aggarwal also inquired about the well-being of the injured individuals. DCP Central and ADCP South, along with other officers, are present at the scene, with a significant presence of police administration officials at the hospital.
