After facing delays in the seat distribution process for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the I.N.D.I.A bloc, Shiv Sena, led by Uddhav Thackeray, has directed its 11 potential candidates to start preparing for the polls. These leaders have been instructed to begin work in their respective parliamentary constituencies. In a similar situation, AAP, frustrated with the ongoing discussions with its I.N.D.I.A bloc partner Congress, has announced its candidates for three Lok Sabha seats, including Guwahati in Assam. The party, led by Arvind Kejriwal, has also decided to contest independently in Punjab.
The names of the candidates for Shiv Sena, including Arvind Sawant for Mumbai South, Amol Kirtikar for Mumbai North West, Anant Geete for Raigarh, Vinayak Raut for Sindhudurg Ratnagiri, Rajan Vichare for Thane, Bhausaheb Wakchore for Shirdi, Narendra Khedekar for Buldhana, Chandrakant Khaire for Sambhaji Nagar, Omraje Nimbalkar for Dhara Shiv, and Sanjay Jadhav for Parbhani, will be officially announced after the seat-sharing formula is finalized. There may be a disagreement over the Mumbai North West seat, as Sanjay Nirupam has expressed his desire to contest from there.
According to reports, Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena will announce the names of its candidates once the seat-sharing issue is resolved. In the meantime, a Facebook script has been loaded to track page views.
