Many animals had attacked and injured some of the rabbits, resulting in the death of a few. Sachin Paliwal, a student preparing for the C.A. exam in Delhi, had come to Kota’s Traffic Garden with some friends. They witnessed numerous rabbits running around to save their lives.
Rescue of the rabbits: Paliwal and his friends managed to save 25 rabbits and contacted G.S.M. Squad, an animal welfare organization in Kota, to transport all the rabbits to the Science City office. Some of the rabbits were injured, and three had already died. Mahima Gupta, the trustee of the organization, mentioned that the rabbits were extremely frightened and in critical condition. They were immediately provided with medical treatment. During their journey, three rabbits also succumbed to their injuries, one became paralyzed, and another lost an eye. One of the rescued rabbits is pregnant.
Gupta mentioned that the rescued rabbits were extremely hungry when they were given food. It seemed like they had been starving for days. The rabbits were severely weak. Due to the lack of a shelter, they couldn’t be kept for a longer duration. Therefore, if anyone can provide a home for these rabbits, they can contact the G.S.M. Squad organization.
