The Punjab industry has sent a message to farmer unions, expressing support for their cause but also highlighting the importance of considering the impact on Punjab’s economy and industry. The industry faced losses during the farmer agitation due to longer routes for raw materials, increased expenses, and clients avoiding Punjab. While supporting the protest, the industry urged the farmer unions to ensure that their demonstrations do not disrupt daily life. The president of the Chamber of Industrial and Commerce and Undertakings emphasized the need for coordination between farmers and industrialists, as many farmers’ sons work in the industry. It should be noted that farmer union leaders clarified that the farmers have not blocked roads, attributing it to the Haryana government. However, they expressed frustration with the government’s portrayal of them as terrorists and their lack of response to their demands. The farmers face opposition from the Haryana government during their movement.
