Ayodhya’s historic consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla resonated across Bikaner, Rajasthan, with joyous festivities and religious fervor. From devotional pujas and Sunderkand recitals to vibrant rangoli creations and grand aartis, the city pulsated with an outpouring of faith and celebration.

Devotional fervour
- Rani Bazar Mohalla Vikas Samiti led the charge, performing Pushp Varsha (flower shower) and a Sunderkand recital, followed by prasad distribution.
- Residents of Jassur Gate area thronged the streets, their chants of “Jai Siyaram” echoing through the city.
- Sheetla Mata Ji temple was adorned with colorful lights, and a mass Maha Aarti was performed in the presence of Hanuman Chalisa recitation.
- Mata Shri Padmavati Devi ritual, graced by Chief Guest MLA Jetha Ram Vyas and Dr. Acharya Shri Divyanand Surishwar Maharaj Saheb (Nirale Baba), witnessed prayers for prosperity and the eradication of social ills.
Community celebrations
- MLA Siddhi Kumari offered prayers at Hanuman Hatha, Hanuman and Ram temple in Pawanpuri.
- Bhandara (community feast) was organized within Bhairav Giri Math with a grand puja.
- Rangoli making competitions like the one organized by Varsha Chaudhary, Shivani Saraswat, Himani Saraswat, Nisha Swami, Jeevika Ramawat added a splash of colour to the festivities.
Honouring heroes
- Mayor Sushila Kanwar announced the commencement of work on “Ram Sharad Kothari Smriti Udyan,” a park dedicated to the memory of Bikaner’s kar sevaks who sacrificed their lives in Ayodhya.
- Consultation with architects and experts is underway to design a unique and fitting tribute to the martyrs.
