Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia has been granted a three-day interim bail by a Delhi court to attend his niece’s wedding. He is currently under arrest in connection with the alleged excise policy ‘scam’. The bail relief has been provided by Special Judge M K Nagpal in the corruption and money laundering cases being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) respectively. Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on February 26 last year for alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22. Following his arrest, the ED also arrested him on March 9 from Tihar jail in a related money laundering case. This is an ongoing story and updates will be provided.
