The Delhi Traffic Police has released an advisory for commuters ahead of the ‘Dilli Chalor’ march by farmers. According to the police, there will be diversions around the Singhu Border (Delhi-Haryana). On February 13 (Tuesday), farmers from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh will march to demand a law guaranteeing MSP for their produce, which was one of the conditions they set when they agreed to end their agitation in 2021. Traffic restrictions and diversions will be imposed at Singhu Border starting Monday for commercial vehicles and Tuesday for all vehicles. Interstate buses heading towards Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, etc. via NH-44 will take a different route. Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) intending to go towards Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, etc. via NH-44 are advised to take a specific exit. Cars and light goods vehicles heading towards the same destinations are suggested to take a different exit. Traffic from Delhi going to Ghaziabad through Gazipur border can take alternate routes. Heavy/commercial vehicles going towards Bahadurgarh, Rohtak, etc. via Rohtak Road are advised to use a different road. Vehicles intending to go towards Bahadurgarh, Rohtak, etc. via Rohtak Road may take a different route. Motorists coming from Punjabi Bagh have a specific route to follow. The Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory in view of the farmers’ protest, informing commuters about restrictions at three borders of the national capital.
