Central Government Announces Half-Day Closing on 22nd January 2024 for Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha

Ram Temple Ayodhya

The Central Government has announced a half-day closing on 22nd January 2024, in observance of the auspicious occasion of Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha. This decision has been made to allow government employees and officials to participate in the festivities and pay their respects to Lord Ram.

Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha is a significant event for devotees of Lord Ram, as it marks the consecration and installation of the deity’s idol. It is believed to be a sacred ceremony that infuses life into the idol and establishes a divine connection between the deity and the devotees.

The Central Government’s decision to declare a half-day closing demonstrates its respect for the religious sentiments of the people and their right to celebrate and engage in religious activities. By allowing government employees to have time off, the government is acknowledging the importance of this event and the significance it holds for millions of devotees across the country.

During the half-day closing, government offices, including ministries, departments, and public sector undertakings, will remain closed until 2:30 pm. This will enable employees to attend religious ceremonies, visit temples, and participate in the various rituals associated with Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha.

It is important to note that essential services, such as hospitals, police stations, and emergency response units, will continue to function as usual to ensure the safety and well-being of the public. The half-day closing applies only to non-essential government services.

The Central Government’s decision to honor the occasion of Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha reflects its commitment to religious harmony and respect for diverse cultural practices. It serves as a reminder of the government’s dedication to upholding the values of inclusivity and allowing citizens to freely practice their faith.

On this special day, let us join in the celebrations and offer our prayers to Lord Ram, as we come together to commemorate the auspicious event of Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha.
