Haryana Steelers achieved their third consecutive win by defeating U.P. Yoddhas 50-34 in Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 on Friday. This victory propelled the Steelers to the fifth position in the standings.
When asked about the significance of the win before the Playoffs, Haryana Steelers’ head coach Manpreet Singh expressed his delight, saying, “Securing wins just before our home leg is fantastic. The team is currently brimming with confidence. Our aim is to win all of our games in Panchkula and finish in the top four at the end of the league.”
Singh also praised the outstanding performance of the Steelers’ defenders this season, stating, “Our defensive unit has been exceptional. If they continue performing at this level, we will undoubtedly win our remaining four games. Moreover, the raiders gain confidence when the defensive unit performs well.”
Regarding the team’s top priority for the latter stages of the competition, the head coach emphasized the importance of player fitness, saying, “It is crucial for all the players to be fit for the business end of the tournament. We have four games in quick succession at our home ground before entering the playoffs. Therefore, we must closely monitor the players’ fitness during this phase of the tournament.”
