Jordan’s brace helps Punjab defeat Kerala Blasters in their home

Kerala Blasters are struggling without their midfield magician Adrian Luna, as they suffered a 1-3 defeat to Punjab FC in the Indian Super League. The absence of Luna was evident as Punjab’s Colombian forward scored two goals, leading his team to only their third win of the season and climbing up to ninth place in the league table. Despite initially dominating the game, Kerala Blasters couldn’t maintain their lead and were overwhelmed by Punjab’s strong defense. The match was played in a half-empty stadium, possibly due to the absence of Luna, resulting in a lack of the usual intimidating atmosphere. Wilmar Jordan from Punjab FC scored the equalizer before halftime and then took advantage of a deflection from the goalkeeper to give his team the lead. In the final moments of the game, Luka Majcen scored from a penalty for Punjab. The defeat leaves Kerala Blasters in third place.
