Udaipur. The grand premiere and award ceremony of the short film ‘Maa Ki Saugandh’, which has won 16 international awards, was held at Atal Auditorium in the city. Artists from Udaipur, Jaipur, Chittorgarh and Rishabhdev have acted in this film based on the increasing drug addiction among the youth. In the premiere show organized at Atal Auditorium, VC of Pandit Janardan Rai Nagar Vidyapeeth University, Colonel Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot, BJP City District President Ravindra Shrimali, Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi, Deputy Chetna Bhati, Ambamata Police Officer Dr. Hanwant Singh Rajpurohit, Pratap Nagar Police Officer Himanshu Singh Rajawat were present. Along with senior artiste Srinivasan Iyer, Girish Bharti of Prerna Sansthan, Lake City Press Club President Kapil Shrimali attended as guests.
Film producer director Abhishek Joshi said that film is the mirror of the society and through this film, a reality has been brought forward and its solution has also been given. The basic story of the film is how the values of a family play an important role in preventing the increasing drug addiction among today’s young generation. He said that Maa Ki Saugandh has won a total of 16 awards in festivals organized in Tamil Nadu, Chennai and Kolkata. The film received the Best Music Director Award for Shahnawaz Khan, Best Cinematographer Award for Yash Pandiyar Sahu, Best Writer Award for Himanshu Bhatt, Best Song Writer Abha Mehta and the entire team of the film received the Best Indian Short Film Award. The same DOP Yash Pandiyar told that during the premiere show, the eyes of the people present in the auditorium became moist and everyone started crying remembering their mother. Tears in people’s eyes during the screening of a film is a symbol of the success of the film. The film was shot in the narrow streets, ruins and temples of Udaipur with limited resources. During the program, Vidyapeeth University VC Colonel SS Sarangdevot also praised the artists and said that this film will work in giving a new direction to the society. There are a total of 11 artists in the film who kept everyone engaged for half an hour. This film will also be shown to everyone in the university.
Himanshu Bhatt, who wrote the story of the film, said that it was shot in just two days. Its day-touching song has been written by Abha Mehta and sung by Marisha Dixit with her melodious voice along with Shahnawaz Khan. In this film, Krishna Nagarchi has played the lead role along with junior Amitabh Bachchan of Chittorgarh and Mahendra Damani. Mukul Jain is the only son of a middle-class family who falls victim to bad company. Later, how his life changes and how the city’s theater artist Ramesh Nagda brings him back on track is the turning point of this film. The special contribution of Daksh, Nihal, Sneha, Vivanshi, Hemakshi, Arjun, Shekhar, Harsh and Sunil along with the health service organization Nashamukti Kendra has been behind the success of this film.
