Uttar Pradesh leads the nation in milk production. The state’s focus on the white revolution has not only attracted investments worth Rs 9000 crore but also promises to generate employment opportunities for the youth. Recently, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Banas Kashi Sankul in Varanasi, which is expected to create jobs for thousands of individuals in Purvanchal.
Milk Commissioner Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil mentioned that Banaskantha DCMPU Ltd. is planning to establish a dairy unit with a capacity of 10 lakh liters of milk per day in the initial phase, with plans to expand to 15 lakh liters per day in the following phase. The company has invested Rs 800 crore in Baghpat, creating 4000 job opportunities. Similarly, CP Milk and Food Products Pvt. Ltd. is establishing a manufacturing unit in Uttar Pradesh and has invested Rs 300 crore in Barabanki for expansion.
In addition, Smart Grid is investing Rs 1100 crore to set up a unit in Gonda, Rinku Dairy is venturing into Bareilly with Rs 490 crore and Shahjahanpur with Rs 300 crore. Bareilly Dairies is investing Rs 300 crore in Bareilly, Mitra Seva Insurance and Fintech Rs 300 crore, Gopal Ji Dairy Rs 252 crore in Hapur, Creamy Foods Rs 250 crore in Bulandshahr, Pradhan Milk Chilling Plant Rs 250 crore in Meerut, and Dairy Craft Rs 212 crore in Bareilly.
