Improvements in the road infrastructure of various districts in Chhattisgarh are set to take place. This includes projects such as drainage systems and road widening. The State Public Works Department has allocated Rs 36.61 crore for road construction. The approved projects will involve the construction of roads in Mungeli, Raigarh, Rajnandgaon, Raipur, Jashpur, Bastar, and Surajpur districts. Upon the approval of Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, the department has granted administrative approval for 18 projects totaling Rs 39,58,99,000.
Within the allocated funds, Rs 1,85,00,000 has been designated for the construction of a high-level bridge and access road on Rahangi Nala in the Lormi development block of Mungeli district. Additionally, Rs 1,84,00,000 has been allocated for the Khairwar Baghmar to Amaldihi road, and Rs 2,03,00,000 for the Pathari Kampa road, among other projects.
Other allocations include Rs 1,76,00,000 for the widening and strengthening of the Loharsing-Linjir road in Raigarh district, Rs 79,42,000 for the access road from Anganwadi to the crematorium in Parikhurd of Rajnandgaon, and Rs 1,70,00,000 for the asphalting of Bajaj Colony, NMDC Colony, Priyadarshini Nagar, Vallabh Nagar four-way road in Raipur, among others. Administrative approval has also been given for various other projects in different districts.
Further allocations include Rs 1,81,00,000 for the Maskamara-Lavakera main road in Jashpur district, Rs 2,89,00,000 for the Putkela access road from State Highway-17, and Rs 2,95,00,000 for the Khandsara-Saregaon road in Bastar district, among others. The Public Works Department is also allocating funds for projects related to furniture and finishing in various locations.
