After the formation of the new government in the state, bureaucrats have become more active. Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant is taking strict action against officers who arrive late to the office and keep important files pending. He has conducted surprise inspections of several offices, including the Zilla Collectorate, to improve the habits of officers and employees. Following in the footsteps of CS Pant, ACS officials have also become active. ACS Subhra Singh of the Medical and Health Department inspected government hospitals in Jaipur on Saturday.
During the inspection of hospitals, ACS Subhra Singh expressed her dissatisfaction with the cleanliness found in the wards, kitchens, corridors, and toilets of Mahila Chikitsalay, JK Lone Hospital, and Jaipuriya Hospital. She immediately ordered the hospital administrators to clean up the mess. She emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness throughout the hospital premises to prevent the spread of infections. The condition of the sewage treatment plant in Mahila Chikitsalay was also found to be poor, and ACS instructed to fix it immediately.
During the inspections, ACS Subhra Singh noticed long queues of patients at all the counters for free medication. To ease the inconvenience faced by patients, she directed to increase the number of counters for free medicine distribution. She also obtained feedback from patients and their relatives about the facilities available at the hospital.
It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma had also conducted inspections of Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur last month. During his inspection, he also found a lot of dirt in the hospital, which he had ordered to be cleaned. He had given instructions for the establishment of a help desk for patients, proper seating arrangements for relatives, availability of clean drinking water, and maintaining an adequate stock of medicines. Recently, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma also conducted an inspection of a police station.
