Training Programme on RTI Online Portal

A Training Programme on the RTI Online Portal was recently convened at the Circuit House Raipur, as well as the Secretariat and Directorate campus in Nava Raipur, on December 14th and December 22nd, 2023, respectively. Administrative officers actively participated in these sessions, which encompassed various aspects of the RTI process, including portal presentations, live demonstrations of RTI application submissions, application handling procedures, and interactive Q&A sessions.

The inaugural address for the training session was delivered by Shri G. R. Churendra (IAS), Secretary of the Chhattisgarh State Information Commission, who provided insights into the intricacies of RTI rules and regulations. Shri Manoj Kumar Trivedi and Shri Dhanvendra Jaiswal, State Information Commissioners, acknowledged the significance of such training programs. Also in attendance were Smt. Geeta Diwan, Under Secretary, SICCG, and Smt. Merry Xess, Under Secretary, GAD.

On December 14th, 2023, Joint Collectors, Upper Collectors, and representatives from District Collectorate Offices, Zila Panchayats, and other Public Information Officers (PIOs) engaged in the training session at the Circuit House, Raipur. They were briefed on user roles, portal features, and procedural best practices. Additionally, a demonstration illustrating the creation of new email accounts was provided.

The training sessions continued on December 22nd, 2023, at the Secretariat and Directorate, targeting their respective staff and officers. These sessions were characterized by interactive engagement and proved to be highly beneficial. Participants were guided through hands-on portal entry procedures, followed by a detailed Q&A session.

The training sessions were facilitated by Shri Ashok Maurya, Senior Director (IT), Shri Shreekant Pande, Joint Director (IT), and the development team. As the training program concluded, Smt. Geeta Diwan, Under Secretary, SICCG, extended a vote of thanks to the NIC team for their contributions and support throughout the initiative.
